Emmys 2016 10 Best Dressed List
Did you catch last night’s Emmy awards? Jimmy Kimmel boasted about the diversity at the Emmys 2016 but on the red carpet it still seemed like white ruled the night. Fortunately there weren’t many bad looks, but a few starlets still managed to stand out from the crowd. Check out the 10 best looks from the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards below:
Emmy Rossum is consistently slept on, but the girl looks GOOOD and on trend in her simple white Wes Gordon gown!
Sarah Paulson must have known this was her night. She came prepared with the REAL Marcia Clark as her date and the perfect haircut to complement her green Prada gown. Sarah isn’t particularly known for being fashion forward on the red carpet but this time she put in as much effort as she puts into each role and it WERKED!
Heidi Klum in a gown by fellow Project Runway judge Michael Kors… let’s just say there’s a reason she’s called “the body”. Heidi’s had some misses over the years, but when she gets it right boy does she get it right!
Tori Kelly may have only been there to sing for the “in memoriam” montage but she clearly wanted to be recognized for more than vocals. Tori is serving old Hollywood glam and it’s a good look for the young singer!
Sofia Vergara delivers on EVERY red carpet she’s invited to but this time she deserves props for trying something new. The Modern Family actress traded her usual mermaid style for a slimmer Atelier Versace cut and left behind the Hollywood glamour waves in favor of a youthful half-and-half hairstyle. She did maintain one red carpet staple – Lorraine Schwartz jewelry to top off her look.
Laverne Cox spent so much time praising Beyonce on the red carpet that she almost forgot to tell us that Naeem Khan created this golden gown! This look is blatantly inspired by Beyonce circa 2005 and Laverne managed to pull it off flawlessly.
Even a 15 minute Google search couldn’t help me figure out who Aimee Teagarden is or why she was invited to the Emmys, but this white Kaufman Franco design paired with jewelry by Norman Silverman Diamonds and Stuart Weitzman heels made her look like she belonged! The silver accent on her belt accentuates her waist in the right way and that thigh slit is sexy without being too revealing.
Traces Ellis Ross does goofy so well that its easy to forget how sophisticated she can be. This Ralph Lauren cut-out dress reminds us that the Blackish star has style!
Most women picked a dress based on how it flatters their figure, but no one donned a dress that could stand on it’s own like Kristen Bell’s floral-printed Zuhair Murad gown. Harry Winston jewels complete the look.
Anika Noni Rose looks like a melanated Grecian goddess in Tadashi Shoji and even though the embellished collar gives us enough sparkle, her Chopard jewels are a nice addition!
