Honey Help Me! Blondes have less style
A lot of celebs are fortunate enough to have stylists that make sure they’re always well dressed. Unfortunately, celebs also have too many yes-men – people who are afraid to tell them they’re making a bad decision.
Between stylists and yes-men sometimes Hollywood’s finest step out in looks that stun us. Other times they step out in looks that just scream, “Honey, Help Me!”
They say blondes have more fun, but does that mean they have less time to worry about their style? This week Stacy Kiebler tried to hide her body, ScarJo couldn’t figure out how to dress for hers, and Cate Blanchett forgot she had one.
Scarlett Johannson recently showed off this demure off shoulder Versace gown at the Under the Skin premiere in Venice. It’s awesome that she chose a sophisticated updo and colorful Bulgari statement necklace to complement N all black gown, but she seemed to forget one minor detail – does the dress fit? Her tops doesn’t provide enough support, leaving her cleavage looking more sloppy than sultry. Scarlett should’ve went in for an extra fitting to make sure everything held up alright.
Does anyone even NEED to tell Cate Blanchett that this look doesn’t work? She should’ve been able to see that when she left the house! There’s nothing flattering about her Christian Dior couture gown. It has no shape and with such simple hair and makeup, Cate seems to be resting on the dresses’ patterns to give her look personality. Cate should have worn a monochrome gown that fit more snug at least at the top and her look for the Blue Jasmine premiere in France would’ve been great.
What was Stacy Kiebler thinking when she paired a striped top with this purple skirt at the NFL’s “Back-to-Football” event? She was right to balance fitted with voluminous but she went way too far with the skirt. Since this was a casual event, Kiebler should’ve taken advantage of the opportunity to go short and choose a laid-back shoe that she could show off. Her hair works with the look, and even the necklace doesn’t clash with the stripes but the drawstring on the skirt is not as subtle as she thinks it is – it’s one detail too far.
