Honey Help Me! Weather transitioning outfits
A lot of celebs are fortunate enough to have stylists that make sure they’re always well dressed. Unfortunately, celebs also have too many yes-men – people who are afraid to tell them they’re making a bad decision.
Between stylist and yes-men sometimes Hollywood’s finest step out in looks that stun us. Other times they step out in looks that just scream, “Honey, Help Me!”
Spring is a tricky season. You must somehow change pieces from winter to spring in an unpredictable climate that isn’t hot enough for short shorts or cool enough for thick layers. Anna Kendrick, Brandy and Beyonce show us what NOT to do when dressing for this temperamental weather.
A tee with jeans, closed toed shoes and a jacket in case temps drop sounds simple enough right? Anna Kendrick had the right idea, but executed it poorly at the Governer’s Ball kickoff party in NYC. There’s too much black for this look to say “spring!” and her hair and jacket just look lazy. Anna would’ve done better if she used her shoes or a better fitting jacket to incorporate more spring friendly shades.
Brandy is doing the most at the screening for the second season of LA Hair in Los Angeles. Jeans and a blazer are great for in between weather, but the blazer works best when it fits and covers a tee or or other top warmer weather top. Brandy’s exposed navel and bunching at the top of this blazer look tacky, especially paired with 90s style torn jeans and strappy stilettos. The singer/actress should’ve chosen a jacket that fits – maybe in a bright color or over a white top and stuck to just one skin-baring piece – like the shoes. This really looks like she dug up pieces that no longer fit and are overworn but she refuses to throw away.
Again with the all black? Beyonce stepped out in NYC at the Billionaire Boys Club anniversary party in a sweatshirt from the brand, leather shorts and calf high boots. This look is trying to hard to be “relaxed” Beyonce would’ve done better to have a shirt in a lighter material and shorter boots.
So what should you do in in between weather?
