The good ol’ boys club is in it to win it for next years Grammys. Newcomers fun. and Frank Ocean, hip-hop big-wigs Jay-Z and Kanye West and rockers The Black Keys and folk-singers Mumford and Sons swept the nominations with a total of six each.

Best known for their 2012 summer hit “We are young” ft. Janelle Monae, indie-pop band fun. managed to snag six nominations in the categories of Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist, Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Their competition includes The Black Keys with Record of the Year, Best Rock Performance, Best Rock Song, and Best Rock Album nominations, as well as Mumford & Sons with nominations for Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance, Best Americana Album, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. All three of these top contenders are nominated for Album of the Year along with Jack White for his album Blunderbuss and R&B fave newcomer Frank Ocean for his Billboard #2 bestselling album Channel Orange.

Including Album of the Year, Ocean is up for a total of six awards with nominations for Record of the Year and Best New Artist as well as Best Short Form Video and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for his work on Watch the Throne‘s “No Church in the Wild”. Fellow R&B fave Miguel  grabbed four nominations competing with Ocean for Best Urban Contemporary Album as well as  Carly Rae Jepsen for Song of the Year. Despite the popularity of her single “Call me maybe”, Carly Rae Jepsen only other nomination was for Best Pop Solo Performance.

After losing nine nominations in the past three years, will Drake finally take home an award?

Despite losing all three categories in previous years, Young Money Rapper Drake is again up for Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Album again. Pop/R&B Artist Rihanna is nominated for three awards rivaling BFF Katy Perry for Best Pop Solo Performance and attempting to take home another Best Rap/Sung Collaboration award with mentor Jay-Z.

Fellow musical BFFs Kanye West and Jay-Z nabbed four nominations for their Watch the Throne album including Best Rap/Sung Collaboration and Best Short Form Music Video. West competes between himself and his rap duo in the Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance categories for his “Ni**as in Paris” hit single with Jay-Z and his “Mercy” collaboration with fellow G.O.O.D. music artists Big Sean, Pusha T and Def Jam rapper 2 Chainz. 2 Chainz also picked up a nomination for Best Rap Album.
