Joe Namath: True Playa for real
SuperBowl XLVIII was pretty boring – especially if you are a Broncos fan. To sum it up, the Broncos called in sick, so the Seahawks won in a 43-8 blowout. As for commercials? None of them were that great either. So what was the highlight of last night’s game? It all happened in the first few minutes when Jets alum Joe Namath came out in a fur coat.
Apparently the SuperBowl III MVP is the only person who didn’t get the memo that it would be almost 50 degrees in New Jersey this weekend and showed up in his signature fur coat for the coin toss. Broadway Joe was so eager to show off his style he couldn’t even remember how the coin toss goes – first the team picks heads or tails then you flip the coin buddy!
So Congratulations Seattle! Not only did your team embarrass the Broncos at the SuperBowl but your native Macklemore won all those hip-hop categories at the Grammys, and apparently served as style inspiration to Broadway Joe’s outfit of the night. If these first few weeks are any indication, the year 2014 belongs to Seattle.
