Everything’s Coming up Roses in Saratoga!

Me and Fashion Saturdays at the Saratoga Race Track might officially be a thing.

After last year’s visit and viewing this year’s Kentucky Derby viewing,  I felt  prepared to go back to the tracks! For this year’s ‘Toga trip I wanted to step my style up so I incorporated the lessons I’ve learned about using color, prints, and bold head pieces at Harlem Haberdashery.

Instead of a solid dress this year I opted for bright florals. I love that the backdrop for the florals is a bright blue instead of plain white, which adds a bit more color to my look.

Of course what’s a fashionable day at the tracks without a great headpiece? I added a Dora Marra pink headband to make the flowers on my dress stand out further.

I learned my lesson about wearing stilettos in the paddocks, so this year I went with wedges. In basic black these shoes complement my outfit but still lets the fascinator grab most of the attention.

As much as I love my own look, I can’t get enough of my DIY blogger boo A.V. and her homemade fascinator! A.V. made her own hat using a headband, faux flowers, wire and a paper plate.
