What to wear to a Fall Wedding in Florida

There are so many factors that come into play when dressing for a wedding: formal vs casual, spring/summer vs. fall/winter, outdoors vs indoors, day vs evening, etc. All things considered, this green cocktail dress made for the perfect outfit to a fall wedding in St. Petersburg, Florida!

Since no particular dress code was specified, I opted for a semi-formal look for this wedding. When you’re unsure of the wedding dress code, it’s always safe to go with a semi-formal cocktail dress. This way you’ll avoid looking under dressed  without putting yourself through the unnecessary stress of finding a floor length gown.

Dark colors are popular at American weddings, but I always prefer brights, particularly for warm weather weddings. Temperatures in south Florida regularly surpass 80 degrees, even in the fall, so I figured bright green was still appropriate.

I wore this dress to a wedding last spring, and even though this was a different crowd  I  decided to accessorize this dress to give it a fresh look.

In the best attempt to mute my outfit I added nude, cut-out, lace up heels and a soft pink clutch. My nails were also neutral, but I couldn’t help but add a little sparkle ;).

My favorite thing about this fall wedding look is that it works for spring weddings too. I have no weddings in the near future but should one pop up I may have to recycle this outfit!
