Once upon a time summer meant your favorite TV shows were on vacation, so you had two options: go out and have fun or watch reruns until September. Now that networks premiere  TV shows year-round there’s another option if your social calendar is less than robust. Depending on which regular season series you’re missing, here are a few summer series to help get your fix for the next three months.

If you miss How I Met Your Mother, watch:

campShot in Australia, Camp follows counselors and campers at Little Otter Family Camp. Rachel Griffiths stars as Mackenzie Greenfield,  a newly single camp director searching for summer paradise while coping after her husband leaves her for a younger woman. (Wednesdays at 10pm on NBC; premieres July 10)

If you miss Scandal, watch…

Devious Maids

From Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry and Housewives star Eva Longoria, Devious Maids follows a group of maids — played by all-stars Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty), Judy Reyes (Scrubs), Roselyn Sanchez (Without a Trace), Dania Ramirez (Entourage) and Brianna Brown (General Hospital) —  working for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Like  Housewives, the series kicks off when the ladies turn to each other for support following the death of a fellow maid. (Sundays at 10pm on Lifetime; premieres June 23)

MistressesBased on the UK hit television series of the same name, Mistresses tells the scandalous story of four girlfriends each on their own path to self-discovery. Savannah “Savi” Davis (Alyssa Milano), Karen Kim (Yunjin Kim), April Malloy (Rochelle Aytes) and Josslyn Carver (Jes Macallan) find support and guidance with each other as they get involved in hot and illicit affairs and brave their turbulent journeys. (Mondays at 10pm on ABC; premieres June 3)

If you miss Modern Family watch…

The Fosters

Executive-produced by Jennifer Lopez, the drama stars Teri Polo and Sherri Saum as Stef and Lena Foster, a lesbian bi-racial couple who raise an ethnically diverse blended family together. (Take a second to process that if you must). The hour-long drama addresses the contemporary  family issues that stem from having a non-nuclear family arrangement, hopefully they handle the issues better than Glee(Mondays at 9pm on ABC Family; premieres June 3)

If you miss The Apprentice watch…

This Clue-esque reality series tests 13 amateur sleuths’ deductive skills over the course of nine episodes, as they work to uncover who among them has committed a fictional murder in the glamorous estate they’re staying in, Rue Manor.  A new crime is presented each week and failure to solve the crime will lead to a player’s demise, until only three are left. In the final episode, one player will unmask the killer and take home the $250,000 prize. (Sundays at 9pm on ABC; premieres June 23)

The American Baking Competition
