Is Urban Decay’s Naked HEAT worth the splurge?

Urban Decay’s Naked Heat might be my new favorite eye shadow palette! This amber-hued edition of the famous Naked line is quite possibly the best version released to date!

How does it compare to the previous palettes? Naked Heat is a perfect fiery blend of Naked 3 and Naked Smoky. Like it’s predecessors, Naked Heat features 12 brand new neutral shades that transition perfectly from day to night. All the colors compliment each other VERY well and can create a variety of looks that work on any skin tone.

Like the Naked 3, this palette contains three gold speckled shades that add a touch of glam to your everyday look. I’ve found the entire palette to be dark skin-friendly and haven’t had any  issues with any of the shades complimenting my skin tone.

Like the Naked Smoky, there are five strong shades that instantly darken any neutral look. The matte brick colors allow you to create a warm smoky eye perfect for night.

I’ve quickly found my go-to shades. “Sauced” and “Low Blow” are great for my “no makeup” days while “Scorched” “Cayenne” and “En Fuego” – pictured above – add pop to an otherwise neutral look. My absolute favorite shade is “Lumbre”, a copper shimmer with gold pearl shift. Most people will find good use of this as a transition hue or in the crease, but I love seeing it as a base on my eyelids!

Naked Heat is great paired with summer/fall colors including white, yellow, mustard, red and olive. Since I’m currently obsessed with wearing yellows and oranges I foresee this palette getting A LOT of use in the coming months!

The Naked Heat palette is available at Urban Decay, Ulta and Sephora, along with three complimentary lipsticks and two eye shadows.
