What to Wear to a Rooftop Wedding

Once again, it’s wedding season!!!!

I recently traveled to Mexico to celebrate the union of my dear friends Tamiah and Alyza of Sw3at. It was a great chance to add another destination to the growing list of cities I’ve visited in the past year, rock new beach looks,  and share another wedding outfit idea with you guys! Here’s what I wore to their rooftop wedding:

Beach weddings are fun because they’re a bit more casual than banquet halls, but rooftop weddings tend to be very chic and fashion forward. Since this was a rooftop wedding on the beach – peep the background? – I decided to mix the two vibes to create fancy casual look!

Soft colors are best for a beach wedding so I chose mint for my weekend color scheme and added a few accessories to match.

Normally I’d wear fancier stilettos to a wedding, but to incorporate the casual vibe of a Mexican resort I opted for these peep-toe  booties instead. The peep-toe and heel keep them fancy enough for a wedding, but the laces and natural leather keep the look laid-back.

As always, make sure your accessories go with the dress! Orange nails are very complementary to mint.

… the earrings I picked up in New Orleans also worked well with my dress!
